Preamble

Vakilify (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “our”) takes pride in maintaining ethical fairness in all its dealings, including those involving payment and refund. This Refund Policy is issued to ensure transparency, protect the interest of Users, and preserve the sanctity of mutual trust between the service provider and the consumer.

This policy is to be read in conjunction with Vakilify’s Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Nature of Services and Refund Eligibility

Vakilify offers access to third-party legal professionals, consultation services, and digital legal tools via its technology platform. In general:

2. Circumstances Eligible for Refund

Refunds shall be processed only under the following strictly defined cases:

2.1. Lawyer Non-Availability or No-Show

If a consultation is booked and the assigned lawyer fails to appear or respond within a reasonable window (as defined by the appointment schedule), the User shall be entitled to a full refund or rescheduling at no extra charge.

2.2. Double Payment or Technical Error

In the event that a User is charged twice for the same service due to a technical error, the excess amount shall be refunded in full upon verification.

2.3. Cancellation Before Service

If a User cancels a paid consultation at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled time, a partial refund may be granted after deduction of applicable administrative or processing charges (usually not exceeding 20%).

2.4. Incomplete Service Due to Platform Error

Where a paid service (e.g., document generation or digital form submission) fails solely due to a technical fault on the part of Vakilify, a proportionate or full refund may be issued based on the extent of failure and nature of the service.

4. Procedure for Requesting Refund

To seek a refund, the User must:

Email a formal request to support@vakilify.com within 72 hours of the incident;

Clearly state:

  • Full name
  • Registered mobile/email
  • Order ID or appointment ID
  • Nature and reason for refund request
  • Attach any supporting documents or screenshots, if available.

Vakilify shall acknowledge the request within 2 working days, and render a decision within 7 working days.

5. Mode and Timeline of Refund

Approved refunds shall be processed through the original mode of payment, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Depending on the bank or payment gateway, the amount may reflect within 7 to 14 business days.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Vakilify reserves the sole and absolute discretion to approve, deny, or modify refund requests based on the facts, fairness, and equity of each case.
All decisions taken by Vakilify in this regard shall be final and binding, without prejudice to the User’s statutory rights under Indian law.
